Adama Zonon, a Muslim businessman in Bobo-Dioulasso—Burkina Faso’s economic capital—is leading an effort to protect the country’s endangered plant species through an eco-park that doubles as a recreational space, drawing crowds from near and far.
“The park is beautiful, and the kids are having so much fun,” said Kadidiatou, one of hundreds of visitors enjoying the Baba Traoré Ecological Park. “Once the swimming pool is finished, it’ll be even more attractive and fun for them.”
